I. Comment trail:

* "Exterminate Jew Power"

* Israel Grants Entry To Ailing Iranian Boy

* Convert or else!

* Macmillan USA Encyclopedia Damns Zionism as Racism

* Michael Moore Makes Odd Appearance at Canadian Debate:

Money quote: "I don’t know why he didn’t stay,” Moore told local media. “Maybe he was hungry. Conservatives get hungrier easier I guess.”

II. Election day in Canada.

In a while I'll be going to vote, with my son, who is voting for the first time in his life (having reached the age of eligibility just a few months ago).

I'm not really torturing myself about my vote. I would have liked to vote Liberal, but I like Stephen Harper's foreign policies better. They are more lucid and robust. However, last week, I thought I might vote for Stephane Dione, believe it or, because of this incident. But I was put off by some of the ugly comments left on that blogpost. I'm a bit finicky that way: I wouldn't want to be seen in the same vicinity as people whose political opinion is expressed in violent, sexual images.

Strange how Dione's gentle demeanour, even under stress, is not emulated by his supporters.

Right now I don't know what I'll do. I'll wait for the last moment and then cast my vote.
