The first part of the interview appears to be missing, nevertheless a disappointing argument to employ - isn't the PA supposed to represent Christians as well as Muslims? The funny part was her slip calling for a diplomatic initiative by President Chirac. Those were the days, eh?

I found the Vatican's pronouncements very disappointing.

Israel has got to do what it has to do. Since rockets are in civilian neighborhoods civilians are going to be killed. The one thing I find very disturbing is that Red Cross and UN workers have been killed. I really don't think that is anything knew though. It is dangerous work because they have to be where the action is and they have been killed in all wars. Of course it is tragic.

The real tragedy is there is no resolution. I do not see any side being the "bad guys." They both are for all the reason that have been spelled out time and time again.

Look how long it took the Irish in Northern Ireland. And is that really over?
