Same man, some time ago, recounting having watched one of the televised presidential-elections debate:
One candidate was saying he spoke to God at seven o'clock this morning. The other said his daughter had a meeting with God the day before yesterday...
No reaction from the group except for generally nodding and one or two snickers.
I'm increasingly becoming persuaded that Canadians suffer from a serious national identity angst problem.
