(As Dubai Jazz tends not to tolerate my presence on his ultra pluralistic blog, here is the comment I dropped:
Your little piece of satire is quite a masterpiece of wit and humour, DJ.
I think I get it: Israelis are idiots and bumbling wannabes, and all Israeli women are whores.
There is a fine Arab tradition of belittling Israel's achievements and yours is one little cog in upholding that tradition:

NYC Landmarks Commission just voted 9-0 that 45 Park Place has no distinction for landmark status, which is true despite it being mid-19th century when it was built as a commercial warehouse.
An ancient landmark issue is brewing over the Tomb of the Prophet Ezekiel in Al-Kifi, Iraq, "...reports have surfaced that the government is actually planning to build a mosque there, including removing the ancient Hebew inscriptions that adorn the site. Some reports say that all or some of the lines of Hebrew script have already been erased.
Ezekiel (Yechezkel, in Hebrew), lived in the sixth century BCE, having accompanied the exiled Judeans to Babylon. His prophecies include the Vision of the Dry Bones, as well as the future return of Jewish People to the Land of Israel even if they are not deserving (Chapter 36: 22-25).
Shelomo Alfassa, Director of Justice for Jews from Arab Countries, ... quotes sources to the effect that Iraq’s Antiquities and Heritage Authority “has been pressured by Islamists to historically cleanse all evidence of a Jewish connection to Iraq - a land where Jews had lived for over a thousand years before the advent of Islam.”

I read (no link hand) that the main purpose of building this mosque is to promote religious tolerance. NYC and the U.S. in general is among the most religiously tolerant places on the planet. The money spent on this building should be used to promote religious tolerance in Muslim countries.
I agree with Christopher Hitchens on this one. The campaign against the Islamic mosque is growing way out of proportion. Despite not liking the people who run the mosque, we are a country of religious freedom. It is understandable to be uncomfortable when we hear the word Islam or mosque, but we must remember the fanatics in any religion are out of the mainstream of their own religion.
In addition there is no plan to build the mosque on the same site or above the ashes of those who died there. There also was a "crass analogy" with the Final Solution.

God I just read Dubai Jazz's horrible rejoinder to your inoffensive comment: "Fuck off, you worthless zionist cunt!" What a truly evil person.
